Digital Product License Agreement – The Digital Download Studio

Welcome! Here’s everything you need to know about using products from The Digital Download Studio.
We offer a range of digital products designed for creators, entrepreneurs, and learners — each sold under one of four distinct licenses. Please read carefully to understand what you can and cannot do under each license type.

Our available license types are:

  • Personal Use Only
  • PLR (Private Label Rights)
  • MRR (Master Resell Rights – Non-Editable)
  • MRR (Master Resell Rights – Editable)

Each license provides specific rights for how our products can be used, edited, and resold. The license type for each product is always clearly listed on the product page.

How to Read This License Policy

Each section below provides the full details for each license type, including what is and isn’t allowed.
If a product listing specifies any special permissions or restrictions that differ from these general terms (for example, allowing editable templates under MRR), the product listing always overrides the general rule for that specific item.

Personal Use Only License

This product is for Personal Use Only, meaning it is for your own learning, development, or business use. You may not sell, share, or redistribute any part of this product in any format.

You CAN:

✅ Use the product for your own personal or business growth
✅ Print or download copies for your private use
✅ Fill in, write on, or customize your personal copy only (non-editable files provided)
✅ Reference the material for inspiration or education

You CANNOT:

❌ Sell, share, or distribute this product in any form
❌ Resell or offer resale rights (PLR, MRR, or otherwise)
❌ Use, copy, or adapt the content within client projects, templates, or courses
❌ Claim authorship or ownership of the content
❌ Use in illegal, unethical, or harmful ways

Note: Editable templates are not included with this license. Redistribution, resale, or commercial use of any kind is prohibited. To sell, modify, or distribute this content, a PLR or MRR license is required.

PLR License (Private Label Rights)

The PLR License allows you to edit, customize, and sell the finished product as your own.
You can rebrand the product completely — but resale rights cannot be passed on to your buyers.

You CAN:

✅ Edit, rebrand, and modify the product content or design
✅ Sell the finished, non-editable version (e.g., PDF, printed product, or course)
✅ Use content in your own paid courses, memberships, or client work
✅ Publish edited content on your blog, website, or email newsletter
✅ Claim authorship after substantial editing or customization

You CANNOT:

❌ Sell or share editable/source files (Canva, Word, Google Docs, Notion, Figma, etc.)
❌ Pass on PLR or resale rights to your customers
❌ Sell or distribute the product “as-is” without rebranding
❌ Give away any of the original files for free
❌ Use The Digital Download Studio’s brand names or product names
❌ Use in illegal, unethical, or harmful ways

Note: PLR gives you full rebranding rights, but resale rights end with you. Your buyers receive a Personal Use Only license.

MRR License (Master Resell Rights – Non-Editable)

The MRR License allows you to resell the product as-is and give resale rights to your customers.
This license is best suited for sellers who want a ready-made digital product without customization.

You CAN:

✅ Sell the product as-is without editing
✅ Sell the completed PDF or digital end-product
✅ Give resale rights to your customers
✅ Use for personal or business purposes

You CANNOT:

❌ Resell or distribute editable source files (Canva, Word, Google Docs, etc.)
❌ Claim authorship if you do not edit the product
❌ Register or trademark the content as your own
❌ Alter branding if the product specifies brand retention (rare cases)

Note: MRR products may be resold, but editable template access may not be passed on unless explicitly stated in the product listing.
All resales must be in a finished, non-editable format such as a PDF, eBook, print version, or course module.

MRR License (Master Resell Rights – Editable Templates Included)

The Editable MRR License allows you to edit, rebrand, and resell the product — and also gives your customers the right to do the same.
This is the highest-level license we offer, designed for entrepreneurs who want a full resale chain.

You CAN:

✅ Edit, rebrand, and customize the templates and content
✅ Sell the finished or editable version to your customers
✅ Grant resale rights to your buyers
✅ Use within your own business for training or resale
✅ Claim authorship after editing or rebranding

You CANNOT:

❌ Resell or share editable templates from The Digital Download Studio under our name
❌ Register or trademark the original content as your own
❌ Use in illegal, unethical, or harmful ways

Note: Editable MRR licenses include Canva (or equivalent) editable templates.
You and your customers can both rebrand and resell the product — maintaining full resale rights throughout the chain.

General Terms & Conditions

  • You are responsible for understanding the license type before purchasing.
  • All products remain the intellectual property of The Digital Download Studio, except where editing and rebranding are permitted under PLR or MRR licenses.
  • Licenses are non-transferable unless resale rights are specifically granted.
  • Redistribution through file-sharing platforms or free giveaways is strictly prohibited.
  • Violations of these license terms may result in permanent revocation of rights and legal action if necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I edit a Personal Use product for my own business materials?
 A: You may lightly customize (e.g., fill in worksheets), but not rebrand, copy, or reuse the material commercially.

Q: How do I know which license my product has?
 A: Each product listing clearly states its license type. Always refer to the product page for specifics.

Q: Can I upgrade my license later?
 A: Yes. Please contact us to upgrade from Personal Use to PLR or MRR (fees apply).

Q: Can I include PLR or MRR products in my course or membership?
 A: Yes, as long as it fits the permissions of your license (PLR allows use in courses; MRR requires resale in a finished format).
